Imogen Echard

Imogen Echard (she/her) is an up-and-coming white trans actor, voice actor, and researcher based in Ottawa.

After graduating from the Canterbury High School Drama Program in 2017, Imogen took a temporary step back from acting for personal reasons. During this period, she completed a Bachelor of Computer Science at Carleton University.

Since 2021, Imogen has worked as a research assistant for the Transgender Media Portal , a multiply award-winning project chronicling the history of trans-made film and television. Uncovering this secret legacy sparked old passions, and inspired her return to acting.

In the past year, Imogen has been honing her skills with classes and workshops in acting and film production at the Screen Acting Academy, the Ottawa Acting Studio, DARC, and Digi60. She also gained her first on-set experience with Background Work, serving as an extra in several recent productions—most notably, Michael Cera's upcoming directorial debut Love Is Not the Answer, starring Pamela Anderson and Steve Coogan.

This year, Imogen is eager to begin attending auditions, with the aim of booking her first speaking part in a movie, show or game.
